Thats one of those cars that you buy, and then buy again... one piece(+) at a time.

This is a good idea, for our amusement.

I saw this on Cars.Com this morning. Run away. With that mileage it’s been sitting and if it has been sitting, it needs literally a new everything.
Not to mention the Carfax citing MULTIPLE emissions failures which judging by their timing to being offered for sale, were the reason the previous owners dumped it every time.

Yeah, I am actually looking at a S430 (official car of well off DC/metro area wives) or a S500.
But I saw this one and another one close by and I have to say I am tempted.

I still really like those wheels, but I suspect I can get a set for much less than the price of that money pit.

Well, it would be great to have another W220 S600 owner around here to share in the joy of V12 ownership. Just make sure you are all in for the ownership experience. They’re starting to thin out and base model 600s like these two are the first to be dropped off in a dealer’s trade-in lot worse off than the last owner found it.

Ah, 2001-2002. The M137 5.8 V12. Can’t stay cool, can’t keep up with the twin turbo.
Kill it with fire and turn the engine block into a coffee table or an anchor for your yacht.

honestly if you just strip it and sell it for parts you’d probably make a decent profit

I’ll be laughing right along with you...
